Job Description / Essential Elements: - MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Credential
- California credential authorizing instruction
- KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES
- Knowledge of and ability to implement the subject matter, philosophical, social, and educational concepts relative to the duties and responsibilities listed on this job description
- Has received training on the ELA/ELD standards and is knowledgeable on how to establish language objectives for English learners
- Ability to implement a variety of research based teaching strategies that engage students and promote a growth mindset
- DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- As a Director of Learning
- Planning for instruction (small group and individual)
- Teaches reading and English language development using digital curriculum.
- Provides individualized and small group instruction in order to adapt the curriculum to the needs of each pupil
- Creates an effective environment for child-centered learning and shows empathy for students learning English
- Teaching results - evaluation
- Evaluates student's academic growth through frequent monitoring of online reports and adjusts instructional lessons based on student data. on his expectancy; keeps appropriate records, and prepares progress reports
- Communicates with parents through a variety of means to discuss pupil progress in English or Spanish as required
- Relationships
- Teacher-student
- Creates and maintains an active, responsive climate for learning through positive teacher-student rapport and helps child to develop a positive self-image
- Teacher is empathetic to the needs of students learning English

8:00 am - 8:30 am - Arrival/Breakfast
8:30 am - 11:30 am - Instruction Time
