POSITION – Grinder / Machine Operator

JOB LOCATION – Brown Deer / Mequon, WI

STARTING DATE – Immediate

EMPLOYMENT TERM – Temp-to-Hire

EMPLOYMENT TYPE – Full-Time

WORK HOURS (SHIFT) – 1st Shift

STARTING PAY – $20.00 – $23.00 per hour (based on experience)

REQUIRED EDUCATION – High School Diploma/GED

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE – Prior manufacturing or machine operation experience preferred

In this position, you will operate various machinery to grind, saw, polish, and blend metal materials of different shapes and sizes. This is a physically demanding and very dirty environment that requires strong attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and a willingness to learn and cross-train on multiple machines. You’ll also mix metal dust materials to compound into solid metal products and use measuring tools like calipers, micrometers, and gauges to ensure product quality.

Responsibilities

• Operate grinding, sawing, polishing, and buffing machines
• Handle and process metal materials of varying shapes and sizes
• Mix metal dust materials into compounds for solid metal products
• Perform assembly, blending, and punch press operations
• Read and interpret calipers, micrometers, and other gauges
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
• Cross-train and learn to operate multiple types of machinery

Qualifications

• Mechanically inclined with a strong work ethic
• Ability to read precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges)
• Reliable, punctual, and eager to learn new skills
• Comfortable working in a dirty, industrial environment
• Previous machine operating or metalworking experience is a plus
