Job Description

Acara Solutions is looking for an Instructional Designer in Phoenix, AZ for one of our clients. 

• Pay rate:  $60.00 hourly
• Position will be Learning and Development Instructional Designer. 
  • Proven experience as an instructional designer with compliance and/or utility experience preferred. Expertise in Articulate Suite, along with ability to successful manage multiple SME stakeholder engagements and strong consultation skills. Experience in SuccessFactors LMS, Audio AI, and other design platforms required.
  • Must provide a portfolio for review.
• Contractor will be working Monday through Friday, 8 am-5 pm (1 hour lunch)
• Role will be hybrid - In office 1 to 2 days per week as needed.
• Thru 12/12/25 contract with possibility of two-year extension 

Job Requirements

Required Skills / Qualifications:

A four-year Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Education, Instructional Technology or other job-related field from an accredited college or university plus three (3) years professional-level experience in instructional design.
In lieu of bachelor's degree, combination of college coursework and/or professional-level experience in instructional design equaling seven (7) years.
Preferred Special Skills, Knowledge or Qualifications:
Experience in the power generation and utilities sector or other closely related industry.
Strong knowledge of instructional design principles, adult learning theories and best practices in training program development.
Proficiency in using authoring tools, learning management systems (LMS), and multimedia software (Articulate 360, Adobe Captivate, Vision Software, virtual reality training simulations, etc.) to develop and deliver training materials.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with subject matter experts, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams.
