Job Description

Position Summary

The Front Desk Receptionist and Test Proctor supports the Admissions Department by managing daily front office operations and ensuring a professional, welcoming environment for visitors and prospective students. This role includes exam proctoring, appointment coordination, data tracking, and general administrative support. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who thrives in a team-oriented environment, demonstrates excellent customer service skills, and maintains a high level of organization.

Essential Functions:

  • Manage the reception area to ensure effective internal and external communications and maintain a professional image.
  • Proctor admissions and make-up exams in a secure and distraction-free environment.
  • Gather, organize, and maintain data related to Admissions activities and applicant files.
  • Review and summarize reports to identify trends and keep department leadership informed.
  • Maintain both electronic and physical files for incoming cohorts, tracking required documents and following up as needed.
  • Assist in planning, coordinating, and implementing department meetings and special events.
  • Take accurate meeting minutes and distribute them to appropriate stakeholders.
  • Coordinate scheduling and appointments for department leadership.
  • Provide backup support to the main reception desk as needed.
  • Participate in special projects and perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Demonstrated excellence in customer service and interpersonal communication.
  • Strong computer skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of office procedures, protocols, and equipment.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks under strict deadlines.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to handle confidential information responsibly.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
  • $21-$23/hr. Compensation is based on education and experience.
